• Below are the download procedures for the "FAT SAP client" 500+MB download, which is needed for your desktop. If the application is downloaded and installed within the AU environment (ELC, AU-Main Campus, CIM, CLC, etc.) a number of ports need to opened by computing support, please have your technical people contact kewald at athabascau.ca
  
  If the SAP client is downloaded to a home computer using DSL or Cable services, there doesn't seem to be any problem installing and accessing the system.

  [For tutors and instructors only] Access to prebuilt curriculum (shared resources) from other university alliance members is through the "innovation watch" website.

  "To get access to the Innovation Watch website, please send an email to innovation.watch@sap.com and indicate for each faculty member their full name, their email address, and their phone number. They should be set up with user-id's and passwords within 24 or 48 hours.

  The Innovation Watch website is http://service.sap.com/iw , and you'll see a link for Curriculum Exchange where you'll find the course materials. "
  
  STEP 1 (Download, install and test SAP software)

[For Students, Professors and course Tutors] Please access the MacEwan website and follow procedures to download the SAP Client:

• Gui Download/Install Instructions: SAP UCC MacEwan

  To download the GUI go here: http://sap.macewan.ca

  1. Click on "downloads' on the top menu bar.

  2. You will then be prompted for a username and password, enter the following:

  username: sap
  password: d0wnl0@ds (zeros, not oohs!)

  4. (Install) SAP Graphical User Interface (see instruction set downloaded in step1.)

  5. (Install) SAP 640 GUI Patch (see instruction set below)

  Now

  1. Run executable GUI640_5-10001615.EXE

  2. Select install button

  3. To check a successful install click on the symbol (top left of the logon pad)

  Also to the left of this text "SAP Logon 640"

  4. Then click on "About SAP logon"

  The version information should read "640 Final Release" Patch Level: 5
